Gynecological Care Routine Screenings Cervical Health - Most experts agree that the first pelvic exam should take place within three years of the onset of sexual activity or by age 21, whichever comes first. A Pap test is an important part of a cervical exam and helps to screen for cervical cancer and other potential issues. After learning more about you and your history, we can recommend how frequently you need to be examined, but many women have a pelvic exam once a year. Breast Health - We recommend self breast exams monthly, with regular mammograms after age 40. However, your doctor will work closely with you to develop a personal exam schedule based on your medical history and special circumstances. Please call our office if you have questions, or if you are interested in making an appointment with Dr. Gregory or Dr. McKinney. Our dedicated physicians are proud to provide their patients with personal and exceptional care. |
